Caregiver Matching
SingaCare’s Caregiver Matching service connects families in Singapore with trusted, well-trained caregivers and upskilled FDWs who fit both your care needs and home culture. We start with a quick needs assessment (medical condition, routines, language, preferences), then shortlist suitable candidates whose skills are verified through our AIC-aligned training partners. You’ll receive concise profiles, we arrange interviews and optional trial shifts, and we support onboarding with a simple care plan, safety brief, and family guidance.
Every placement includes basic background checks, PDPA-compliant data handling, and ongoing follow-ups—plus fast replacements if needs change. From dementia and mobility support to post-hospital care and companionship, we make it easy, reliable, and human—matching the right caregiver, the first time.

Our Matching Process
Needs Assessment
We begin with a quick assessment of care requirements (medical condition, routines, language, preferences), with PDPA-compliant data handling.
Curated Shortlist & Verification
We present a targeted shortlist of caregivers/upskilled FDWs whose training and experience are verified, supported by basic background and reference checks.
Interviews & Optional Trial
You receive clear profiles, and we coordinate interviews and if desired to have an optional trial to assess suitability and comfort.
Selection & Onboarding
Once selected, we confirm scope and expectations, then support a smooth start with a simple care plan, safety briefing, and family guidance.
Follow-up & Rapid Replacement
We conduct timely check-ins to optimise care and provide swift replacement support if needs evolve or the fit is not ideal.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does SingaCare select our caregivers?
-
Skills & Employment History
We review each candidate’s CV, certifications, and work timeline, verify roles and duties with recent supervisors, and confirm rehire status to ensure experience is genuine and relevant. -
Elderly Caregiving Experience / Training & Skills
Candidates undergo a structured interview on core care knowledge (ADLs, fall prevention, skin-integrity basics) and a practical assessment covering safe transfers, hygiene/diapering, and feeding safety. Where prior advanced skills are claimed, we validate them (e.g., NGT/PEG feeding, suctioning, catheter care) before listing those competencies. -
Language & Communication
We conduct live evaluations in the languages required, typically English, Mandarin, or dialects, checking comprehension, clarity, and the ability to “teach back” instructions in simple terms, with a calm, senior-friendly tone and pacing. -
Soft Skills & Attitude
Through behavioural questions and professional conduct during interviews, we assess patience, empathy, reliability, and openness to feedback. Any red flags in safety, honesty, or professionalism result in immediate disqualification or later deactivation.
Final step: We consolidate results across all four areas to approve, prescribe refresher training, or reject. Approved caregivers complete onboarding and are activated as “SingaCare-Ready,” followed by early post-placement check-ins to safeguard quality and safety.
Can I choose the caregiver that fits my family’s needs?
Yes. After your consultation, we recommend caregivers that match your requirements, and you can make the final choice.
